Casey Barton, CRNA
Managing Partner
Casey Barton is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and was born and raised in Wichita, KS. He is the co-founder and managing partner at Safe Smiles NC and resides in Chapel Hill, NC.
Casey received his B.A. in Business Administration and Sports Management from Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS in 2001. Shortly after graduating he embarked on a professional soccer career in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Over the course of seven seasons he played for the Kansas City Comets, Cleveland Force, Charlotte Eagles, Philadelphia KiXX and finishing at home with the Wichita B52s. Career highlights include a runner-up finish in 2006 with the Charlotte Eagles of the United Soccer League and a 2007 MISL National Championship with the Philadelphia KiXX.
Casey received a B.S. in Nursing in 2006 from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO and a Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia in 2010 from Newman University in Wichita, KS. Since completing training, He has spent time in large hospital systems, ambulatory surgery centers, offices, clinics and a solo practice in rural America.
Safe Smiles NC was founded to serve the residents of North Carolina by providing access to excellent, safe, and cost-effect hospital and mobile anesthesia services. While he spends plenty of time at dental/oral surgery practices, he still covers pediatric dental surgery centers, hospitals, and medical offices. Casey is a lifelong learner who continues to use evidence-based practice to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Casey is certified by the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NCANA). He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Cardiac Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Intravenous (IV) Ketamine Therapy and IV Wellness Therapy.
When not providing anesthesia, Casey enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his children's sports teams, playing golf, and enjoying the beautiful weather in the Tar Heel State.
